Hidden Valley Farm
The House

Comfortable, roomy, and genuinely quiet

A large, open-plan first floor flows from the new kitchen to the dining and living areas, warmed by a wood-burning fireplace — then out to a back deck and balcony with a new hot tub and long views over field, river, and mountain.

The house has a warm, collected feel: the walls are hung with paintings handed down through our family alongside works and photography by local West Virginia artists, so every room has its own character and a bit of a story.

Gather together

The open living space is built for downtime — a wood-burning fireplace, a new large-screen smart TV with Roku (stream with your own accounts), a foosball table, and a big cabinet of board games, card games, and puzzles for all ages.

  • Wood-burning fireplace
  • Large-screen smart TV with Roku — stream with your own accounts (please log out before you go)
  • Foosball table & games for all ages

New open kitchen with large island and granite counters

A new kitchen built for a crowd

The large open kitchen has granite counters and a big island, and it's genuinely well stocked — everything you need to cook for a full house.

  • Granite counters & large island with seating
  • Full-size range, oven, microwave & dishwasher
  • Instant Pot, crockpot, electric skillet & griddle
  • Blender, coffee grinder / smoothie maker & hand mixer
  • Coffee maker, electric kettle & popcorn popper
  • Ice-cream maker (a crowd-pleaser)

Step outside

Sixty-five acres roll from the yard down to the Dry Fork River — stocked with trout in spring — with a new hot tub, a balcony, and plenty of room to spread out. There's a large parking area for a whole caravan of cars and not a neighbor in earshot, so big groups and music-making weekends never have to watch the clock. A 4WD or AWD vehicle is recommended in winter, as the rural road can take a while to get plowed.

  • New hot tub on the deck + private balcony
  • Hammock, picnic table & chairs
  • Charcoal grill (bring your own charcoal)
  • Lawn games — bocce, horseshoes, badminton, soccer & football
  • Pond on the property & river access for fishing
